An Uninvolved, or Neglectful, parenting style is arguably the most detrmental because children do no receive the attention, care, and support they need from their parents. Uninvolved parents are low in responsiveness and demandingness. Compared to the other parenting styles, uninvolved parents do not support or encourage their child's self-regulation and do not provide their child with any structure.
